About Us

Object of Organization: To educate the public and perpetuate memories of the War of 1812, to collect and secure for preservation documents relating to that period; to encourage the research and publication of historical data including memorials of patriots of that era; to cherish, maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom, and foster true patriotism, love of country, the same spirit of patriotism; to secure a more faithful prosecution of these ends by the promotion of good fellowship among the members of this Society. This Society is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue law).
